Eyes galore,
ever waiting
for one slip,
one offense,
one appearance of evil.
Watching for the moment
to judge,
convict,
roll skyward
and declare
foreknowledge.
Unaware of the trespasses
being flaunted
under guise of
protection and piety.
Having read and forgotten
that
mercy
triumphs
over judgment.

    Incredible, Beth. Very well said. Sometimes, those eyes looking around need to look inward – the old, “when you point a finger, there are three pointing back at you” thing. Then too, someone once said something about a splinter and a beam……
